The WAY Academy has been founded on John 14:6, Jesus said to him, “I am the way and the truth and life. No one comes to the Father except through me."The vision God gave us for The WAY Academy is to create a Christ-centered school, that will reach our community, and transform the lives' of middle and high school students, by helping them excel spiritually, academically, and athletically.

Charles Williams Jr.
President / Founder
Math Teacher
Charles has spent the last 20 years in both the public and private sectors of education, serving the community as a math teacher, basketball coach, dean, assistant principal, and principal. Charles became the first in his family to attend and finish college, earning a BA and MA in Music, and a M. Ed. and Ed. D. in Educational Leadership. Charles and his wife Betsy were both collegiate athletes, and have three daughters, and together they regularly attend and serve at Real Life Church, as well as coach basketball and volleyball respectively, for youth teams in their community.
Betsy Williams
Director of Admissions/Co-Founder
Betsy is a follower of Jesus Christ. She was born and raised in Ohio. She earned a full-ride scholarship to play collegiate volleyball for Florida International University from which she graduated in 2004 with a Bachelors in Recreational Therapy. After a brief career in the RT field, Betsy pursued teaching and coaching as it was something she was always passionate about! She became the head volleyball coach and ESE teacher at a local public school. During this time Betsy earned her Masters Degree in Educational Leadership. Betsy is married to Charles Williams and together they have 3 daughters! In her spare time Betsy loves to spend time in worship, have fun with her family and friends, watch sports, play sports and go to the beach!
Brittany Glass
Director of Curriculum, Instruction and Assessment
Science/STEM Teacher
Brittany has enjoyed learning since her early childhood. That love for learning extended through the entirety of her educational career. Brittany earned a bachelor's degree in computer science and mathematics in 2011 and a masters degree in education in 2015. Ever since then she has been sharing her love of learning with her students at both the middle and high school levels. She seeks to be an example for her students as she lives her life to know and love Jesus Christ. Brittany also spends time volunteering in her local community church as a teacher in the youth ministry.
David Mestre
Spiritual Growth/ Academic Advisor
Bible/History Teacher
David enjoys learning fun facts about different things like the Bible and History. He has been married to Mrs. Mestre for 7 years and they have a 6 year old daughter together named Bella. David plays the drums and loves getting to be a part of leading worship at his church. He has been serving in different ministries across different churches for over 10 years in areas such as: Vacation Bible Schools, Sunday School teacher, Youth Pastor, Young Adults ministries, and music ministries. David graduated from the Baptist University of Florida with his degree in Leadership & Christian Education and he is pursuing his Master's of Divinity at the same school. David has a passion for teaching and is excited to be the Bible teacher at The Way Academy!

Julian Rivera
Physical Education /Spanish Teacher
Julian Rivera was born and raised in Puerto Rico, where he married his middle school sweetheart Mrs. Rivera 19 years ago. Together, they have two boys, ages 12 and 10. For three years, Julian dedicated himself to homeschooling his sons, nurturing both their academic and personal growth. Julian has worked in drafting & design, real estate, and education, teaching Spanish to children of all levels, including those in special education. Faith, family, and sports are central pillars of Julian’s life. A lifelong basketball enthusiast, he played throughout his school and college years, fueling his love for competition and teamwork. As a third-generation Boy Scout, Julian treasures the outdoors and prioritizes staying mentally and physically active. His commitment to service is reflected in his role as an usher at his local church, where he continues to give back to his community with humility and grace. Julian is taking over the physical training at TWA, focused on athletic growth for all Warriors.
Elizabeth Braswell
ELA/History teacher
Lizz is a passionate and experienced ELA teacher who brings a heart for Christ and a love for learning into her classroom each day. Originally from the West Coast, Lizz has traveled extensively across the United States and abroad with her husband, an Air Force veteran. After years of moving, they have joyfully settled in Florida to raise their five children—ages 15, 13, 11, and 4-year-old twins—alongside their family pets, including one dog and two service dogs With a Bachelor of Science in Health Management and a Master of Education in Curriculum and Instruction (currently in progress), Lizz is committed to meeting each student where they are and helping them grow academically, emotionally, and spiritually. Her classroom reflects her belief that every child is uniquely created by God and has a purpose. No matter where life has taken her, she has always remained grounded in faith—regularly visiting and connecting with local churches during her travels. Lizz is honored to be part of a school that shares her values and looks forward to encouraging students not only in literacy but also in faith, character, and confidence.

Meet Scorpio Mosley, a dedicated and passionate board member of The Way Academy. Scorpio is a loving husband of 11 years, happily married to his beautiful and supportive wife, Lynn. He's been blessed with four amazing daughters who add joy to life and inspire him daily - Princess, Raven, Serenity, and Harmony.
With a wealth of experience in the insurance industry spanning over 17 years, Scorpio is a seasoned professional who understands the importance of protecting and caring for others. His commitment to ensuring the well-being of individuals and families extends beyond his professional life. As a serial entrepreneur, Scorpio has a knack for running towards complex challenges and transforming them into innovative solutions.
Scorpio's love for wisdom and inspiration shines through his passion for collecting and sharing quotes, and Scorpio holds a special place in his heart for his favorite bible verse, Romans 12:12, which reminds him to rejoice in hope, be patient in tribulation, and steadfast in prayer. As a board member of TWA, Scorpio brings his creativity, intelligence, and friendly nature to the table, and is deeply committed to creating a nurturing and empowering educational environment where students can flourish.
Ebony Pritchett
Board Secretary
Ebony Pritchett is a seasoned Consumer Insights professional with 15 years of experience spanning various industries, including education. A resident of Clermont for 7 years, she is a devoted wife and mother to three school-aged children, deeply committed to her faith in Christ.
In 2020, after two years of prayer, planning, and development, Ebony founded The Advocacy Group, a Human Insights agency focused on fostering communal unity through research and immersive experiences in human empathy. Partners from businesses large and small have praised her innate curiosity, authenticity, and ability to connect with diverse audiences. This successful alignment of her purpose, passion, and professional skills has not only propelled her career but also driven her commitment to making a positive impact, particularly within the local community and among young people. Her ultimate goal is to use her God-given passion to shine the light of Christ into the world, as stated in Matthew 5:14: "A city set on a hill cannot be hidden."
Dave Harris

Pastor, Faith Christian Fellowship
Originally from Brooklyn, New York, Dave was raised in Eustis, Florida. He graduated from the University of Florida with a bachelor's in science and years later a master's in educational leadership from Jones International University. He has served as an educator for 20 years and became a school administrator during this time.
Dave came to Christ at the tender age of 8 years old in a Christian and Missionary Alliance Church in Brooklyn, later rededicating his life to Christ at 22 years of age. He started serving in ministry as a Fellowship of Christian Athletes (FCA) Coach on the Tavares Middle School campus at the start of his teaching career. He served in this capacity for 10 years. During this time, he served a Chaplain's assistant in jail ministry for the youth for over 8 years.
After his 20 years in education, God called him to take over as the lead pastor of Faith Christian Fellowship of Tavares, Florida. He also owns a food truck business with his wife Ana.
Dave has been married to Ana Harris going on 21 years. They have a 12-year-old son named Emmanuel. On his spare time, Dave loves to spend time with his family, play various instruments, and watch movies.
